IT Security Act 2.0: The most important changes at a glance.
The IT Security Act 2.0 was long awaited and announced. An initial draft bill has now been published in the version dated March 27, 2019. It pursues the goal of holistically expanding IT security for society, the economy and the state. One of the core elements: The creation of an IT security label for citizens. This is intended to make the IT security of commercial goods transparent. This measure also falls within the remit of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). This is because the BSI is tasked with strengthening IT-related consumer protection.
